Day 2 of Paleo (11 January 2012)

Breakfast:

-chicken breast
-1/4 cup almonds

Lunch:

-salmon
-3 egg whites
-1 cup spinach
-broccoli
-pesto

Dinner:

-chicken breast
-spinach
-avocado
-green pepper
-salsa
-carrots
-almonds

Hi there!
I haven’t read all of his book, but I plan on reading all of it. I’ve so far read the first chapter and skipped ahead to chapter 10 so I could learn what to do and exactly what to eat haha :) I will go back and read all of the information though!
I had bacon with my meal this evening (I had to make some strips for my brother because he smelled it and instantly wanted some haha), and it was really good. 
Almond flour? That actually sounds really good! I need to look for some and look up some recipes that call for it, because that sounds like an excellent alternative. I need to do more research on Paleo and Paleo alternatives for things!

PALEO: Day 1 (10 January 2012)

So last night, I started reading Robb Wolf’s The Paleo Solution. Now, yes, I know there are tons of books and resources on doing things the Paleo way, adopting the lifestyle, why we as human beings should eat as we are intended to and genetically made up to. But I know someone who absolutely raves about Robb Wolf’s book, so I got it.

And it’s really interesting. I’m adopting and embracing the “try it for 30 days” challenge. I plan on documenting that here, as I do my other weight loss endeavors. By starting and including today, my 30 days should be ending on 08 February 2012, and I’ll see how I feel from there. I’m hoping I’ll feel better and look better. I’ll also be sure to document these things as well!

I plan on incorporating Crossfit into my regimen, but once I get back to school. I’ve got a few things to take care of here over the next week and a half. Still going to the gym, though!

I’ve been looking at various Paleo blogs and recipes on here, and I’m noticing a lot of people use bacon. I might cook a few pieces to go along with my dinner tonight. I’m thinking…chicken breast, (I think we might have some in the freezer), a few strips of bacon, broccoli, and spinach. Maybe green pepper, because I know we have some!

Currently my favorite workout song!

If you guys didn’t know, I’m a HUGE Tarantino fan, and yesterday my brother and I were watching Death Proof and this song came on during the credits and I remembered how much I loved it.

Hello all!

Keeping it simple today, food-wise. I’m not using my light salsa or any spices with my food.

It’s been a crazy week and I’m glad it’s over for the most part. Time to get back into focus.
